Remember back in the 70s, that guy who was dating your cousin's friend? He had a red Trans Am with a pair of fuzzy dice hanging off his rearview mirror? Yeah, that guy. He was cool, right? At the time anyway.
That nostalgic ornament (the dice, not the guy) is where the founders of Hooplah began. In 2001, they started retailing novelties online. What began as a one-room operation between friends turned into thousands of orders and a whole lot of toys. Search Marketing was still new, and the boys discovered their own trademark method for increasing sales— Why look for customers, when customers are looking for you?
Well, that's a bit of a paraphrase. It's actually quite a detailed process, involving many bits and bytes of data to determine several key factors. But these were smart guys and we keep things simple.
After a few years of perfecting the methodology, David and Leslie offered their services to their friends and family. Those businesses thrived; word traveled fast and far. Days turned to nights and the lists were endless, but those two never stopped smiling.
The Hooplah vision is one that believes that people's work is stronger when they're happy. In the midst of pressure, a laugh helps more than yelling. We continue to grow and learn as agents of change, advocating for inspired ideas and solutions.
